NORDC Receives Excellence in Parks and Recreation Award at 2017 Louisiana Parks and Recreation Conference

NEW ORLEANS – Last month, the Louisiana Recreation and Parks Association (LRPA) awarded the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC) with the Excellence in Parks and Recreation award at its annual conference.  This is NORDC’s first year receiving the award.  The award recognizes Louisiana Parks and Recreation organizations for providing outstanding recreational opportunities for its citizens.

NORD Foundation to Host Inaugural Gala Honoring Peyton Manning and Jerome Smith

NEW ORLEANS – On Tuesday, April 11, 2017, the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Foundation will host their inaugural Champions Gala honoring longtime supporters, Peyton Manning and Jerome Smith. The NORD Foundation will also acknowledge leaders and companies who have made major investments in New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC) to improve the quality of life for all New Orleanians.

NORDC Calls on Community Partners to Expand Programming

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC) is encouraging individuals, organizations or other entities in New Orleans to partner with NORDC to provide programs to the community for the fall of 2017. Providers can apply to host programs at any of its recreation centers, parks or playgrounds at no cost. The deadline to submit an application is Monday, April 17, 2017 by 5 p.m.
