Media Advisory: City of New Orleans, NORD to Host Inaugural City Hall Teen Takeover

NEW ORLEANS – Tomorrow, Mayor Mitch Landrieu and City officials will join the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission to host its inaugural City Hall Teen Takeover. During this day-long event, members of the NORD Teen Council’s “City Hall” Initiative will have the opportunity to job shadow City officials and participate in a pinning ceremony, led by Mayor Mitch Landrieu.

NORDC Movies in the Park Screening Relocated Due to Inclement Weather

Due to inclement weather, the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission’s (NORD) Movies in the Park screening of “The Jungle Book,” originally scheduled for tonight at Lakeview Playground (5501 General Diaz St.) has been moved to Gernon Brown Recreation Center (1001 Harrison Ave.). Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the movie will begin between at 6:45 p.m.
