Looking for a space for your family reunion, community meeting, wedding reception, or special event? The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission offers facilities to suit any occasion. Rental fees directly support improvements at all NORD parks and recreation centers.

How to Rent a Facility

All rental requests must be submitted at least 15 business days before your event. Requests submitted under 15 business days cannot be accepted.

Download and complete the application:

Submit your application and waiver via one of the following methods:
- Email: NORDCrentals@nola.gov
- In-person: NORD Rental Office, 5420 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122, Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4 pm
Confirmation: The Rentals Division will contact you via email within two business days to confirm receipt. Staff will provide availability, a price quote, and any other requirements for permitting.
Final approval: You will receive a confirmation email outlining the due dates for rental fees, security deposit, and other provisions.

Payment Requirements

All reservations must be paid in full at least seven days before the event. This includes proof of security officer payment if required.

Changes to Your Reservation

Any changes must be submitted in writing and approved by NORD at least five days before the scheduled event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please refer to the 2026 Pricing Guide for base pricing, which does not include staffing, security, or cleanup deposits. NORD facility rentals are charged hourly and must include setup, event, and cleanup time, therefore, rates may vary based on total time and any added amenities.

Once your application is submitted, the rentals division will provide a quote and outline any additional requirements, such as security, insurance, or permits.

In the case of inclement weather, if you decide to cancel before the event, NORD will allow the applicant to reschedule their rental pending facility availability. Once the facility / venue is occupied, no refunds will be given for cancellation.

NORD accepts business checks, certified cashier’s checks and money orders as forms of payment. NO CASH, personal checks or credit cards are accepted.

Outdoor events do not include tables and chairs. Recreation Center events may provide tables and chairs based on availability. Setup and breakdown are the responsibility of the applicant.

Grilling with self-provided grills

Selling food, beverages, goods, or merchandise without written approval. NORD Booster Clubs have exclusive use of concession areas.
Erecting stages, tents, or booths without written approval. Necessary permits from One Stop Shop must be obtained.
