Temporary Road Closure at Joe W. Brown Park

Temporarily CLOSED

Please be advised that due to necessary bridge repairs, a portion of the roadway at Joe W. Brown Park will be temporarily closed. This closure allows for the safe passage of two-way traffic around the construction area & ensures the safety of park visitors and crews. The repairs are expected to take some time, and we will provide regular updates as the project progresses.

Please note: Camp registration is on a 'first-come, first-serve' basis, camp listings and camp capacity updates will be posted on the website as soon as possible. ***SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE MAY 7, 2026, or when camps become full.

Every summer NORD provides residents of New Orleans with an array of quality programming, classes, and events, all at no cost. From swimming lessons, family game nights, fishing, canoeing, summer sports leagues, piano, guitar, and dance lessons. There is something for everyone.
