NORD has 40 tennis courts located throughout Orleans parish. With 2 full service tennis centers and 7 additional tennis facilities, there is sure to be a tennis court in your area. Various programs are available for those of all levels and all abilities at our tennis centers. Courts are welcome to all Orleans parish residents and are available during designated hours of operation.

Tennis Programming

Our drop-in clinics give you a workout administered by our tennis instructors. Have a great time learning the game, refining skills and improving fitness levels. All levels are welcome. This is an easy way to meet other tennis enthusiasts without a long-term commitment. Registration is ongoing and all classes are free. Refer to our interactive calendar to view times.

A's & Aces

Classroom instruction and homework assistance incorporated into advanced youth tennis instruction. Ages 12 and under.

Jr. Team Tennis

USTA Jr. Team Tennis brings kids together to play singles, doubles, and mixed doubles against other teams. Promotes social skills and important values by fostering a spirit of unity and individual self-growth. Age groups: 18U, 14U, 12U, 10U and 8U. Play Levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.

Mommy, Daddy, & Me Tennis

Looking for an activity to do with your young one? Bring your family to learn basic tennis techniques such as hand eye coordination, basic swings and foot work.

Senior Mixer

The senior mixer brings together the seasoned tennis community for tennis, food, drinks, and fun.

Senior Tennis

For players 55 years of age and older. Gain confidence in your shot making, refine tennis stroke mechanics and gain fitness to provide you with the necessary tools to maintain a healthy and youthful body.

Tennis Bootcamp

A fun group fitness and tennis program. Classes are geared toward the aerobic fitness of the participants. Rather than being about "playing" tennis, it’s more about training and he great cardiovascular workout the program provides.

Tuesday Night Mixer

Join the Atkinson-Stern Booster Club for a fun night of tennis, food, and drinks.

USTA Leagues

USTA League is the country’s largest recreational tennis league with more than 300,000 players nationwide competing on teams while meeting new people and getting physically active. Play is based on the NTRP rating system so you will play with and against players of similar ability so even if you are new to the game or a former player, there’s a spot for you providing you are age 18 or older. USTA League also offers you and your teammates a chance to advance from local play to USTA League National Championship events.

Adult Beginner Tennis

For students with little or no previous tennis instruction. Students will be introduced to the forehand, backhand, serve, volley and basic court vocabulary. Class goal: Maintain a six to ten shot rally as well as serve an average of one out of three balls into the correct service box.

Community Tennis: Group Lessons

Fun, social lessons for beginners to intermediate players. All equipment provided. Cost: $5

Intro to Tennis

Indoor lessons for adults and seniors. Tennis is one of the healthiest activities on the planet, proven to enhance longevity and mental sharpness. Learn the sport indoors, in the  gym, all equipment provided. Cost: $5. Ages 18+.

Teen Tennis Lessons

Group practice for high school students looking for further development. All equipment provided. Cost: $10

Tennis Apprentice

Tennis Apprentice has been the most successful adult tennisprogram in the South! This is a great opportunity to be introduced to tennis or to get back into the game. It is fun, informative, and will prepare beginner adults to progress into league play. To register visit
