About NORDC Volunteers
Upcoming volunteer events
People volunteer because they understand that it is important to actively contribute to their community. Becoming a viable, contributing member of the community is one way to have a positive impact on many lives. Acquire valuable skills, discover hidden talents, and meet new people through volunteering. Registered volunteers who contribute 30 hours or more during a tax year qualify for a $500 Louisiana State Income Tax deduction. NORDC offers four types of volunteers: Athletic Volunteers, Rec Center Volunteers, Special Event Volunteers, and Volunteer Groups.
Rec Center: There are short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities in our recreation centers. Opportunities include but are not limited to administrative assistance, program instructing, and program assistance.
Special Events: Volunteers are needed throughout the year to assist with seasonal, or one-time special events.
