Youth Summer Camp
In 2017 NORDC will offer 41 youth camps (ages 4-12) that will serve over 3,800 kids across the city through partnerships with schools, non-profits, and faith-based organizations. Summer Camps will offer a wide array of academic, cultural, and recreational activities, some including field trips to the Audubon Zoo, the Aquarium of the Americas, and NORDC pools. Teen Career Camp
In 2017 NORDC will host 14 Teen Career Camps (ages 13-15) that will serve 1,000 teens across the city. Teen Camps will offer teenagers career exploration and job preparation skills as well as financial literacy training and character development exercises. Breakfast, lunch and field trips are provided. Additionally, teens will earn a stipend of $15 per day, with an opportunity to earn over $400.00 over the six weeks. Summer Camp Expo
The Summer Camp Expo generally takes place the first Saturday of March and offers an opportunity to speak with summer camp representatives and register on the spot. Parents and guardians have the opportunity to explore a variety of recreational, cultural and academic summer camps provided through the public-private partnerships. Camp representatives are divided between select NORDC rec centers.
