Adopt a Park
Parks are the heart of New Orleans neighborhoods. They’re where children play, families gather, and neighbors connect. With NORD’s Adopt a Park program, your group can take an active role in keeping these spaces clean, safe, and full of life.
When you adopt a park, your business, church, school, or organization becomes a community partner in caring for one of our city’s most important assets. Together, we can make sure every neighborhood has a park people are proud of.
What groups can do:
- Host regular cleanups and beautification days
- Plant flowers, trees, or small gardens
- Paint benches, fences, and playground equipment
- Organize family-friendly activities and youth programs
- Support safe, welcoming spaces for all ages
Why it matters:
- Safe, clean parks give our youth places to play and grow
- Families have welcoming spaces to gather and celebrate
- Neighbors build pride and ownership in their community
