NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission invites residents to join in fun and safe Halloween activities taking place across the city. All activities are free and open to the public.

NEW ORLEANS — On Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) will host the annual “Best of the Best” Ceremony during its annual conference, taking place in New Orleans Sept. 26-28, 2017. The ceremony recognizes excellence in parks and recreation programming and presents awards to newly-accredited parks and recreation agencies, including the New Orleans Recreation and Development (NORD) Commission.

NEW ORLEANS — On Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, the City of New Orleans, New Orleans Recreation and Development (NORD) Commission and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) will unveil improvements at Lemann Playground and hold a community celebration to kick of the 2017 National Recreation and Park Association Conference. The Lemann Playground improvements are part of NRPA’s Parks Build Community initiative.
